Your prescription may be invalid out of your home state. Not all states allow medical use of marijuana and possession of it even with a valid prescription at home may be a criminal offense where you are traveling.

 

You also have to consider federal laws that will prohibit you from bringing it back home.

 

As has been mentioned you need to consult an attorney or maybe multiple attorneys including those who specialize in criminal law.
