Alaska 2010

We are thinking of booking an Alaska cruise for August 2010. We are a family of five, with three teenage boys who at the time of sailing will be 19, 17 and 15. We are not sure which cruise lines to start investigating...Any ideas? Which are the best for families with teenagers? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Personally, I would suggest looking for a cruise not based on a particular ship or cruise line but rather by itinerary. Figure out what ports you're interested in seeing, what type of glacier viewing you are looking for, and whether you want a one-way or a round trip cruise. Then I'd suggest looking at port times. Some itineraries have different amounts of time at each port and vary in the time of day they are there. So if there's something in particular you want to do that is only a morning option, make sure you pick an itinerary to accomodate that.

I agree. I did my research here, figured out what I wanted to do/see, then I started looking to see what lines offered all/most of what I wanted. We are also looking at 2010. Happy planning!
