Craps Players Step Inside!

REALLY?

I don't understand jerks that act like that. When I play DP I don't root for a 7 - until I get people like YOU at the table.

what's interesting is that MOST DP players are respectful and STILL people make silly coments like you make.

PS You're not taking the DP's money its the casino.

You may not be saying out loud "Come on 7" but you are hoping you win your bets, if not you'd be on the Lido Deck playing Canasta, not in the casino making bets. It's your attitude that makes you a jerk, not how you bet.

Question: I apparently had this knack for rolling 7's. 4 in a row on the passline and within 2 or 3 rolls of making point. How do I put this to my advantage other than play the darkside all the time?
Lay the numbers if you roll 7's that often. $25 against the 6 or 8 will pay back $20 each and every time you roll that 7. That or make a big Come Bet on that 2nd or 3rd roll.

Okay, craps experts.... I was at an indian casino today that had the most favorable layout I've ever seen. First, they have a FREE buy on the 4 and 10 for $5 (as in, no vig or anything -- you bet $5 you win $10...). No house edge at all on this bet.

They also had a field bet I don't think I've ever seen before. It paid triple (3x) on both the 2 and 12! Can somebody check my math? The way I figure this out, it comes out to an even percentage bet (20 ways to win, 20 ways to lose), so again no house edge at all on this bet!

I also noticed they paid 33 for 1 on the hopping hard-ways. I think this is usually 30 to 1 (or 31 for 1). Still not a good bet, but not as bad! I *think* all the other payouts in the center of the table were standard, but not sure because I don't normal play them. I might have seen 17 for 1 on something, but not positive.

Anyway, despite all this, they were still making money off me today.

Somebody check my math on the Field bet with 3x 2 and 12? Is this a 0-edge bet?

- Nancy

P.S. I calculated like this:

20 ways to lose: 5: 4 ways, 6: 5 ways, 7: 6 ways, 8: 5 ways = 20 ways

20 ways to win: 2: 1 way (x3), 3: 2 ways, 4: 3 ways, 9: 4 ways, 10: 3 ways, 11: 2 ways, 12: 1 way (x3) = 20 ways

That does make the field into an even money proposition. the 17:1 or 17 for 1 was most likely for the 3 and 11 and I would guess that the 2 and 12 also paid off at 33:1 or 33 for 1. Sounds like a better place to play if you like the sucker bets.

I emailed Frank Scoblete awhile back and this is his answer to passing the dice.

Frank,

Can a shooter pass the dice midway during a roll ? Does the next shooter continue the roll or is the roll dead and the next shooter the new roller ? It’s a question asked on a cruise critic thread.

Thanks.

Evergladesgator

Dear Evergladesgator:

The shooter can pass the dice at any time. The next shooter will have to finish the previous shooter's roll. When that is done, the new shooter is usually allowed to then play his own hand.

Wait a second. You sent a note to Frank and signed it, Evergladesgator? Now that is hilarious. HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, all riled up I see. Your ???? here is a bit vague addressing the post to "Craps Players"

I found it funny because I wonder if Frank was thinking and alligator that lives in the everglades that is shooting dice at the local indian casino was emailing him.

There is your answer. Now go blow your horn. :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Well YO,

I guess y'all MISSED the part that said LOCAL CASINOS. Probably looking for your lost teeth. And yeah, we have been to Foxwoods and the Mohegan Sun where i previously stated i turned a 100 dollar buy in into 3300 hundred within an hour. Unlike some losers that can't count that high . Typical old f--t that can shell it out but can't take it. Our dealer friend from out west had y'all figure out a long time ago. That's why your so pizzed at him. The truth hurts. Oh yeah, just got back from Gulfport and Biloxi for a week , mostly comped.

Oh I can take it. But there is no reason to muck up the casino threads, hence why I gave you my email address, which you haven't had the balls to even use. :p

As for your dealer pal, isn't he doing real well interacting with the others here. HA!

I am not the one that mucked up this thread. I tried to give some first hand info from an EXPERT about passing the dice since it was brought up on an earlier thread. But someone thought that my info was funny and did nothing to add to the thread. Since i will no longer engage in this retoric with someone i consider to have a mental problem that laughs at first hand material, i bring up an old saying. NEVER ARGUE WITH STUPIDITY, THEY WILL TRY AND BRING YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE. I would never share my email with a retard. I'll be here listening to your next words of wisdom. The reason y'all don't like our dealer friend is that he has probably seen everything in 15 years at the tables and he has you pegged. Have a nice day.:)

Who cares? and stop mucking up the thread. :p

There is not one thing that can improve or decrease your odds except you.:D

If anyone thinks they can predict in any way shape or form what the next roll of the dice is gonna be needs to get their head examined. Craps is a game of chance. You are either lucky or not.

What can I expect for craps table turnout and table minimums on Carnival? Going to be on the Pride in September.

I was on the Carnival Fascination a couple of years back and I absolutely loved the table/dealers/atmosphere.

I remember the minimum being $5.00 and it was usually always open when the casino was open. Turnout was good each night I played. I think you will find your experience rewarding. Good luck.

Thanks for the information. I enjoy $5 minimums, as with my gambling budget, it allows me to play $5 on the line, back it up, and even play the 6/8.

I hate being the only one on the table, so glad to hear there will be others.

Thanks! Yeah, on a vacation cruise, I am not expecting any precision throwers. That is fine with me. Only thing that irks me is when the game gets slowed down so bad you are averaging about one toss a minute.

Adjust your schedule so you show up at 11pm or later to shoot craps. Most of the idiot players are sleeping by then. :D
