tips on beach close to port?

Hi

On Liberty June 20-27th. In PR from only 8a-2p. We like to sleep in a bit when we cruise alone, so our beach time is somewhat limited. Leaving at 2, (back on ship at 1:30!) we wanted a decent beach to lay around on for a couple of hours....w/ close proximity to the port. Any suggestions?? Sorry if this is been asked a million times :o

Nearest beach to port that you'd want to visit is Balneario Escambron.

Next are the beaches at the resorts in Condado, Ocean Park and Isla Verde.

Next is the Balneario Carolina.

None of these are walking distance.

thanks so much!! One more thing: do they have the standard umbrellas, bar, beach matts, rental things...... or just grab a towel and go? Thanks:)
