There will be taxis waiting and the fare: Sightseeing Tours One to four people $100, five or more $20 each. Limited time of tour: 3 hours.

The dispatcher and taxi drivers will usually group people wanting the same type of tour together which is good if you are by yourself or have less than 4 in your group, this is of course if you didn't request a private tour.

Thanks, There is only going to be my husband and I coming.

Now is the island known for anything special that you should see?

Is there a beach that you snorkle that you would see turtles also?

There are various sites that might be of interest, two Danish Forts, various old churches, Estate Whim Plantation, the Cruzan Rum Factory, Lawaetz House. And there are three National Parks, Christiansted Historic Park, Buck Island Marine Park and Salt River. You might try http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=attractions+on+St.+Croix+%2B+around+the+island for some information on sites. And try the National Park websites: http://www.nps.gov/buis/ and http://www.nps.gov/chri/ and http://www.nps.gov/sari/.

There are beaches from which you can snorkel, and there is a chance you might see sea turtles but no guarantee.

Our local newspaper in St. Croix had an article this week that Royal Caribbeans Adventure of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas will be calling on St. Croix in '09. Hopefully this is true as it is wonderful news for the island.

St. Croix is beautiful and has not been spoiled by commercialism as so many other islands have. The history and architecture alone make the island a very interesting port stop. Alexander Hamilton grew up in Christiansted so there are many points of interest regarding Hamilton. The Danish left a mark on St. Croix which is evident in the buildings. The water is beautiful, the restaurants very good and the shopping while not as vast as other islands is of high quality.

Dear Cruciangal

I am taking a NYE cruise out of San Juan and we are stoping in St. Croix, as I have never been to this island before I was wondering if you could offer some advice of what to do - which beach is nice to go to, what are the must see things etc.

Thank you in advance.
