On our Nov. 08 Spirit sailing one of our CC members on the roll call was called up to active duty about a month or so before the cruise. We all agreed to toast to him during our CC meeting and send him a photo.

About 6 ship's officers and staff members attended our CC meeting. When the captain and hotel manager saw us passing out glasses of orange juice and cups of coffee to our members to prepare for the toast they stopped us and said to wait. Within minutes they had bottle after bottle of champaign and champaig glasses delivered to the meeting and joined in with our toast to our deployed CC member.

It made our CC gathering so much more memorable and the officers and staff joined us in the photo session which took several minutes as everyone who had a camera wanted to captue their own photo of the event. Bruce graciously manned each of the cameras for us so that our group was all together with the officers in each photo.

Radio, thanks for the great coverage this week. We sailed on the Spirit December of 2008 to the Western Caribbean. You pictures of the ship have brought back some good memories. We fell in love with the ship and her staff and crew were wonderful. That was my first cruise and I fell in love with cruising. Now I am living vicariously through your travels as my next cruise is not until October 2010 on the Pearl.

Thanks again and have a great last night at sea! :)

Hello everyone ! We should be back in port in about 7 hours, and I will be sorry to leave the ship.

I will have many pics to upload, as I get back to High Speed Internet. I also have all of the Freestyle Dailies to post as well.

I am sure that when I return to reality, I will re read all of the posts/questions to answer all that I might have missed.

Thanks for the wonderful comments, and thanks for tuning in !

The next post will be from Black Falcon Cruise Pier in Boston.

Radio,

What a wonderful pictorial you've shared. Your posts are informative and your pictures tell a great story. The bridge pictures are phenomenal! I was surprised to find they allowed you on it. A rare treat and a great perspective. This was my first journey with you. Like the others, I look forward to your future cruises. Thank you!

If I remember correctly I think it was $55. Also, a reminder that there is a foreign transaction fee charged when you you use your credit card in Bermuda. That's where your Capitol One comes in handy with no foreign transaction fee charged. Thanks to my CC friends I applied for one and used it in Bermuda. I'll have to admit my first charge transaction I forgot and sure enough there was a fee when I checked online when I got home.

WE use it on all our trans-atlantic cruises from wherever, especially Europe..every bit helps when your dealng with Euros.

This confused me at first... but then I read it again, and I realized that you meant that you forgot to use your CapOne card, and used another card instead! :)

I've read that Visa/Mastercard assess 1% of the conversion fee, and CapOne chooses to not pass that along to the customer. Many, if not most, other banks add on 2% more for themselves, totaling out the fee at 3%.

CapOne has their share of issues, just like every other bank, but foreign currency conversion fees are not one of them!

Hello everyone. . . Welcome to my final day onboard Norwegian Spirit. We arrived at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal by 645AM, and have tied up.

Early walk off is scheduled to begin at 930AM, and the final color should be called by 1045AM. It is dark and cloudy today with a lot of rain. I am sure (hope) the weather will clear up for those boarding Spirit later today.

The Hotel Director, Sean Wurmhoeringer has suggested that the upcoming cruise will have many more kids than this past week, and NCL will be providing Spirit with an additional 10,000 cans of Pepsi ! Wow. . That’s a lot of soda.

I am in no hurry for debarkation, so I will probably leave the ship as late as possible.

I have a 5 hour drive to my hotel tonight, so I will try to get a few more pics posted later today.

Thanks for tuning in . . . .

Thanks for posting and providing such beautiful pix of the Spirit, Radio. The ship is lovely. Can't wait to experience sailing on her, hopefully sometime soon. Enjoyed being on a "virtual" cruise right along with you!:)

Sorry it's such a murky day in Boston for your debark. Have a safe trip home.

Welcome home, Radio! Happy to hear how much you loved the Spirit and that you enjoyed your time in Bermuda! It's always too short and goes by too quickly, but we can just go back again!!!

Thanks for sharing and welcome back to cold, rainy Boston. It looks like you had terrific weather on your return. The Atlantic does not get calmer than that.

My wife and I leave next Friday on the Spirit and have really enjoyed your travelogue. The Spirit looks like a wonderful ship.
