Altun Ha Myan Temple & Belize City Tour

Sorry for posting another thread. BUT I just found this.

Can anybody tell me more about this tour. I found it on belizecruiseexcursions.com.

I was wondering how much walking is involved & how good the tour was.

the belize port is the only one where we havent figured out what we are going to do yet!

We did this tour a couple of years ago through Carnival. There was not walking involved on the city tour portion. There is a small amount of walking to get to the ruins and then around the ruins. Most of it is very flat. You can climb to the top of the ruins but only if you want. DH and I climb to the top and must tell you it was worth the climb. I would recommend you take this tour.

Altun Ha is definately worth a visit. We really enjoyed it. Very scenic and informative.

The tour lasts about half-day (including to and from Altun Ha). There isn't all that much walking. It's a good introduction to Mayan ruins. Our guide, Jenny, was great. It's one of the closer excursions in Belize so you should have absolutely no problems in getting back to the ship on time. We had enough time after getting back to Belize City to walk about the small downtown area and still got back on the third to last tender.

We used EBT - Experience Belize Tours and Allyan was a wonderful Guide. This was a private tour of 6 people and he was very knowledgeable. The lunch stop was also great!:)
