Princess Cruises -- Dolphin Deck

I am looking at a cruise on Princess in November of this year and I am shocked at how much less the prices are for mini suites on the Dolphin Deck. Does anyone know why? I have had a balcony room on the Caribe deck and love the double deck and am just wondeering if I would like to be on the Dolphin. I'm guessing that this deck has the uncovered balconies??

Dolphin deck mini-suites balcony is uncovered and sized 9 ft wide x 7 ft deep. But, the cabin interior is much larger than regular balcony cabin on any deck. Not sure why the price difference, mini-suite would be a good choice if cheaper than balcony cabin...

Hello. Check out this site for info on Coral/Island Princess balconies. We're on Island Princess in July in D718 and the balcony is fully covered (it's the aft bump-out section).
