Port Saquenay

We'll be stopping at Saquenay as part of a Princess 10 day cruise from New York to Quebec leaving New York on October 13. The shore excursions from Princess don't seem very interesting. What can you do at this port if you don't have an excursion? Is there anything to see close to the port?

 

Anybody been there with suggestions, they would be much appreciated.

I don't really know what there's to do except visiting the little white house which survived the Saguenay flood a decade ago and just walking down the streets but there's the link to the city webpage

I recently received info from Saguenay tourism. There's a National car rental booth at the cruise terminal. I phoned them directly and booked a compact car for approx. $45.00. Have a good trip.

i´m also looking for a car rental. Can you please give me the e-mail adress of the national car rental at Saguenay. A call from germany ist not possibile and in web i can´t find them.

The car rental is located at the cruise termimal. You cannot book them through the internet. I'll phone them and see if they have an e-mail and will get back to you on Monday.

This is a scenery port. I always laugh when it is called a port in any case as it is really a dock with services.

 

You are there for the scenery. I've seen whales just by there so a small boat outing might be a bit of fun.
