Tampa transportation

We are a party of 8 and need transportation from TPA to Hyatt Regency downtown. I assume a taxi(s) would be our most economical way to go? Are there any taxi services that can take 8 of us together or will we need to just get two taxis? Thanks.

Sorry we missed you on the Valor.

 

I had a group of 8 in Tampa in Oct and they did have shuttle vans but they were expensive. We used one from the port to the airport and the guy quoted me $40 at the port then after he unloaded our luggage at the airport said that was a mistake that he didn't know how many passengers that we had and it was supposed to be $10 pp and wanted me to pay up. Well I didn't and he was miffed.

 

I had asked several other shuttles and they all wanted $10 pp so I just thought I was getting a good deal. I think you will be better off with 2 taxis plus less hassle with the luggage from 4 persons as opposed to 8!

Two cabs would be cheaper than $10pp with a shuttle. Cab fare from the airport to downtown is $25 per cab.
