Jade - a few questions

Hi

We are off on the Jade in a couple of weeks, and have a few random questions, we are in AD Romance Suite.

 

1) Is there a DVD player in this type of suite, if so, what range of DVDs are available on board to hire (are they new ish ones or just old ones?)

2) How do we get off the ship - when is is anchored - are they any suite perks to this - is this arranged by concierge? I only have experience of Cunard years ago - and I remember we had to wait till lunch time to get on on the tender (we will not be doing excursion).

3) We are both smokers, is there any seating in the casino where you can have a drink and smoke without playing the tables?

4) I have read that we can have meals in the cabin - which restaurants can you pick the meal from - or is it just the suite menu?

There are quite a few DVDs on the list. Not brand new. I packed a few.

 

You will have priority tendering but when ship is anchored you just walk off with everybody. It goes pretty quickly.

 

You can smoke and drink in the casino.

 

You can have room service from suite menu or any restaurant (except Tepenyaki). You are charged specialty rate. The butler will set up everything on a tablecloth for you. It's great after a long day ashore.

re: Casino. There is a big bar in the center of the casino where you can sit and drink, and not have to play.

 

Actually, very few people play the Video Poker at that bar because the bartop is too high to comfortably sit and play. What idiot allowed that design?
