Need Help!! Millie Upper Berths?

Does anyone know it he staterooms with an upper berth on M class ships have the upper in the ceiling or do they swing down from the wall? We had a room with an upper berth on Century & kept hitting our head or shoulder on the edge of the berth when it was up. I know that Princess' upper berth come down from the ceiling Lookoing to book Millie this fall & all the available

2C rooms have an upper:(

I'm pretty sure they're all ceiling mounted but not 100% certain.

Thanks much for your reply! I think that you're right. I did some searching & found a photo of a room with an upper berth & it looks like it's in the ceiling.

 

Hope so, because I booked the room anyway!!:D

Just got off the Mercury, cabin 5025, and the bed was on the wall not the ceiling. My wife hit her head about three times.

The Mercury is an earlier design and different class so it's quite possible the fittings are different in it.

Hi Exodus8628! I feel your pain! We weren't in our room on Century for more than an hour & my wife banged her shoulder twice & when I made fun of her after the 2nd time, I hit my head, so we were even. Luckily, we were able to upgrade at a reasonable cost to a balcony without the upper.

 

Century, Mercury, & Galaxy are all the same basic design. It looks like the M class has a different layout.

We sailed on the Millie in 2002, 3 to a cabin. The upper berth that I slept in came down from the ceiling and was tucked away during the day.

We were on the Millie 2 months back. UnFolds out of the ceiling but for the whole cruise all they did for daytime was fold the bed on it's side against the wall.
