kimbtech Posted December 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2004 My husband and I did this trip a couple of years ago. The trip took all day, that included stops along the way - one to take pictures of Mt. McKinley (where is extremely rare) and another for a lovely lunch. Our lady bus driver was terrific, pointing out items of interest along the way. Copper River itself is a beautiful lodge, with an extremely beautiful view. You can see the Alyeska Pipeline from the lodge. I did some horseback riding thru the area and loved it! Enjoy your time there. The boat cruise from Valdez to Whittier was fantastic as well. Happy cruising!

From Copper River to Valdez- by the way some spectacular scenery- a couple hours
akparrothead Posted December 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2004 For 2004, the coaches left Denali at 8:00am and arrived at Copper about 4:00pm. Times were adjusted for weather, road conditions, etc. I would suspect that schedules for 2005 won't be much different. Enjoy!
