Is there a 'party band' by the pool ?

My DH and I are booked on the March 20 Caribbean sailing of the Journey. On previous cruises, most with Celebrity, almost every day the 'party band' sets up by the pool. I personally dislike having the band playing - I love just quietly relaxing and reading by the pool. Does anyone know if Azamara does the pool band-thing?

Most days on the Quest the three piece combo, Cruse Control, played by the pool. They are not any louder than the stereo and are really not that entertaining.

 

I don't think they will be too distracting.

I'm with you. I would rather have peace and quiet, hearing the wind and bird/bees. Why must we always be "entertained" everywhere in life with loud music??

From what I recall, the Pool band on Quest was dialed down a few notches from what you would hear on the larger ships, and was enjoyable.

The canned music came out of speakers at one side of the pool by the grill

For Peace & quiet you can go to upper sun deck

Is this only for caribbean cruises or also for european itineraries?

Loud music & party bands encourage drinking (so I'm told) and thereby increase bar revenue.

There was no loud music on this ship

I asked for music from the speakers by the bar, but noooo can do that

Someone may get upset about music on sea days in the sun:mad:
