Ron Jon Cape Caribe Part II

Recommended Posts

Just got my mail confirmation from Ron Jon Cape Caribe in Port Canaveral for our one night stay before our Mariner cruise August 1st. How about this: check in time 4PM, check out time 10AM. Guess they don't want us there too long! Just drop off the $$$ (which they already took from my credit card!).

Hello from southern Illinois!!!

We too are going on the Mariner Aug 1st. I have been on the M & M board and not been able to find anything for our cruise. Have been thinking about RonJons as well. Would you mind telling me what your charges are?

If you choose to email me instead of posting, my email is herrinbowl@midamernet.

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim!
I responded to your roll call a week or so ago.
Glad to hook up! Yeah, Ron Jon is supposed to be nice, but a studio at $176.00 per night (including taxes) and then an 18-hour stay is really something! I guess we had better get our money's worth on the lazy river there!
Our e-mail: allelect@ix.netcom.com

Look forward to chatting further!

from what I have read on these and other boards, there are discount codes that can be used for this property. Some are found in the advertising magazines at rest stops on the highway, I think other people reported codes from AAA (but don't quote me, I really don't remember)Maybe someone will report a valid code & you could rebook at a lower rate. Also, like most hotels, you can appear earlier and use the facilities before your room is ready. Have you asked if they have a locker room of some sort (changing facilities) and a luggage room? We stayed at the DOn Cesar in St. Pete one year and used the beach/pool then showered in their really nice spa before the room was ready.

I just read the code for AAA in the Going Places magazine. It is Code 260.

We are local and have checked out the Ron Jon Caribe. It is basically a timeshare deal that you can rent out like a hotel. The grounds are nice and the pools/slide/jacuzzi/lazy river all looked nice. There is a changing facility by the pool that has showers/lockers/etc. altho you need to bring your own lock. They also might take you over to the port in the morning. If you are going to stay a few days and are willing to subject yourselves to the salespitch you may be able to get a better rate out of them.
