Booking two Consecutive Cruise.

Recommended Posts

Hello.

Does anyone know what happens if you book two cruises in a row on the same ship?

1. Do you have to check out on the last day, then check back in? Or just stay on the ship?

2. Can you book the same cabin for both cruises?

3. Any discounts apply?

Thanks ahead for your input.

- Terry

Hi Terry. You will have to get off the ship but you can take your time and get off about 9.30. On the B2B cruises we have done, they then let us back on about 11.30am.

You will have to ask your TA to book the same cabin for both cruises to avoid moving.

We havn't had any special deal for booking B2B.

H there, I have done quite a few back to back with P&O, and you get 5% off the total combined cruises fare.

you may be able to stay in the same cabin, depending on the bookings for the following cruise. ...but if you have to move...the staff are quite good and help you.

kind regards, Lorraine:):)

Just wondering with B2B's, if you have the same room for both cruises, do you have to pack up your luggage at the end of the first cruise?

How about if you have different rooms for the next cruise? Does the luggage just get transferred to the new room?

Hi LuckiePuris, if in same cabin for both cruises...no you don't need to pack . you just have to go off ship and get new cruise card and photo taken.

if in different cabins for each cruise, yes you will have to pack and transferr your luggage...staff have always used a carrier like in hotels, to move my stuff whenever needed.

you will receive letter from pursers desk. giving you a Transit passenger pass.. and telling you what time you need to go off ship and receive new card and photo. ( It is usually straight after last passengers leave ship.) it will also state what time you can go back on ship. most times I have returned through the crew area.

Thanks for the info Lorraine,

Your reply has clearly answered all my questions!!

Sounds like a very hassle free procedure with B2B's.

Much easier than having passengers disembark with their luggage at the end of the first cruise and then re-do the whole embarkation process for the second cruise.

Thanks for your reply Lorraine :)

Something that I've often wondered Lorraine - what happens with onboard accounts?? Do you settle the account for the first cruise and then re-start a new account for the second - or do they just do it as one bill at the end of both???? (Does that question make sense?)

Hi Kym, the pursers desk told me they would transfer my account to 2nd cruise on one occasion using cash, BUT,

I had hassles keeping the account open .

money from the first cruise didn't follow on...I was told..you have no money in your account.. when in fact I had close to $1000.00..only after 5 days was it sorted out. put a nasty taste in my mouth..

so after that, I paid in cash each cruise for the BTB's

since using my mastercard, I have not cruised BTB.

hi Kym, i have done a few b2b's on Rhapsody and we used our credit card and you would have to settle your account for each cruise

we had some duty free smokes so we went thru customs and posted them home and on the 2nd cruise we got some more .............same as your duty free alcholol......buy it on the first cruise and get it on the last day and drink it on the 2nd cruise
