Oceanwench Posted July 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2009 Has anyone using a powerchair sailed on the Eurodam? I was checking a cruise vacation Web site and it provides info on accessible cabins. According to this site, Eurodam cabins, category VA and lower, have doors that are 25.5 inches wide. Cabins SY and above have 32.5-inch wide doors. That was bad enough, but then I read that the bathroom doors to these cabins [all categories] are in the 22.5-inch range. DH's powerchair is about 24 inches wide. We've sailed Vista ships in VA and SY cabins with no problems. Checking the above-mentioned site, I see that a Vista ship has wider doorways to the cabin and bathroom. Does this mean the Eurodam is truly not accessible to someone in a power wheelchair? We will be calling Seattle to get some information, but I always value the personal experience of my fellow CC'ers. Thanks!
