tennisobo Posted December 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2004 We will be is St. Maarten on 1/12 with the Caribbean Princess. We would like to visit a quiet beach. I am wondering if the hurricanes has made some of these beaches not-so-nice. I am considering L'Embouchure Beach, Simpson Bay, Cupecoy, and Dawn Beach. Has anyone been to these beaches since hurricane season? Thanks!

lbchew Posted December 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2004 We went to Dawn beach after being told it was a good place to snorkel off the beach. Unfortunately we didn't see any fish and there were people standing in front of us the whole time trying to sell us things. Normally this wouldn't be to big of a deal, but the same people would stand there with the same merchandise for a long time. They made us kind of uncomfortable and blocked the view of our kids in the water. I wouldn't recommend it.
