Which taxi service to take to Brooklyn Pier?

We are flying into La Guardia airport and want to take a taxi directly to the Brooklyn pier. What are the best taxi services to call? Do i need to call the night beforehand or right when we land?

We always use a car service, its a flat rate so you are not tied to the meter.

Approx $60 plus tip.

 

They do not take res, just call them 10 minutes before you want to be picked up outside baggage claim.

Did it last week.

From Penn Station, the cab ride would cost about $21.50. That is roughly $25 with a 15% tip. It is about 7.3 miles.

 

On the way back, there were plenty of cabs at the port.

We booked online a month in advance with Eastern Car Service. They're based in Brooklyn, and won't get lost on the way to the pier!

from LGA a yellow cab(one you just get into at the curb) dispatched by a dispatcher will cost about $30 and on a Saturday am should cost about $30.00 including tip...its 11 miles. The directions are take the BQE to Brooklyn take the Atlantic Avenue exit and make the left at the exit light. Make the first right and follow that around to Bowne street and make a right.

 

20 minutes without traffic...
