Valor Review

I worked half day since I live 30 minutes away from the Port of Miami. When I left work I decided to look for my camera. It was nowhere to be found. I drove back home(10 minute drive) and I had left it on my bed.

It was super cold so I overpacked for the cold weather that I wasn't expecting. When I reached the Port of Miami there weren't any porters. Everyone had to carry their own luggage. I wasn't happy about this because you cannot imagine how much I overpacked. I packed as if I was going on a 7 day cruise. I had a large piece of luggage along with a super heavy carry on and my purse which was also super heavy.

Embarkation: It went smoothly.

Parking: The Carnival parking lot was not available for anyone to park in. We had to park at the Royal Carribean one and brought back on a shuttle with our luggage.

Ship: The ship is absolutely beautiful. It is super fancy.

Pool deck: Due to the cold weather, there were not many people in this area. I don't know if there were many people on deck during the sail away party.

Atmosphere: There were many happy people on board. I did not hear one complaint from anyone during the whole trip. There were not many kids aboard this cruise. I ran into one of my students on the ship. There were a lot of Carnival employees aboard this ship. (I spoke to my PVP this morning and she told me that she was there because it was their company party).

Shows: They were both brand new shows and not to be missed. One features music from the 80's.

Food: The food was excelent. They had the chocolate buffet on this 2 day cruise. It was delicious.

The first night the ship was really rocking. I went to the dining room to change my dinner seating time, and a whole bunch of glasses broke.

After this I returned to my cabin to get ready for dinner, but I became real sea sick. I was calling room service for 2 hours until I finally reached them to order orange juice and a turkey sandwich. This made me feel a lot better. I left my cabin at 10:40 to catch the 2nd show. I went to the casino, Karaoke, and a few clubs after that.

Naussau: I was ready to go to the beach, but it was super cold in Naussau also. We went to the Atlantis resort. We loved it!

Before leaving Nassau they made an announcement for all the Sensation and Fascination employees to disembark the ship bacause we were leaving. Those 2 ships were docked with the Valor in Nassau and they were allowed to view the ship.

What I missed the most about this cruise were the game shows, the Newly and not so Newlywed Game , Bingo, and The men's hairy chest contest. The cruise was too short.

I highly recommend this ship. I will be sailing her again in the summer.

I went to work for half day after the cruise and the kids told me, "A---(one of my students) went on a cruise," and when I told them that I ran into him they started cracking up and couldn't believe me. These are 2nd graders.

It sounds wonderful and I saw the photos of your cruise, very nice! We still have 300+ days until we'll be on the Valor, but I'm already getting excited! You'll have to write another review after you get back from your second Valor cruise. :) Where does that one go anyway?

Thanks for the review! I will be there in 11 days and can hardly wait!

I plan to take lots of pics. It always seems like you are taking a lot of pictures but then when you get home it never seems like that many. So, I'm going to take more than I imagine I would ever want to see. After all, this will be the newest and biggest ship I have ever been on!

Can't wait to read some other reviews before we leave! :)

You're Welcome! I'm glad that you enjoyed the review.

Tjohn, 65 degrees for me is super cold for me. I'm used to 80 degrees weather.

Yes, they had safes, but I think they were the ones where you have to scan your credit card.

Deron, write your e-mail on this thread and I'll e-mail them to you.

Thanks Gymbrat for the review! It sounds awesome. I also saw your pics, very cool. You know we all appreciate you posting them.

Maria....The slide show was fantastic! You took some nice shots. I wish I could've slowed some down, but if I could do it at my pace it would take me a week to look at all of them! Thank you so much for posting it!

Sspray....Come over to the Roll Call board and meet some of your fellow Valor cruisers for the Jan. 30th sailing. We would be happy to chat with you and share info. It's gonna be a blast!! :D
