Hi Marja,

I am Maria and also from Holland like you. I would like to ask you which

airline you use flying back from Fort Lauderdale after the cruise.

Thanks very much for your advise.

Regards

Maria

Hi Maria!

As a courtesy to other posters, I will answer you in English of course! A couple of years ago we flew Martinair from Miami, but due to the reason that they gave up their "Star Class", which was not bad at all, but also because they always had terrible delays, we decided not to use that company any more.

If we need a one way to Ft. Lauderdale now, either back or forth, we usually have saved enough reward points to book a business class one way through KLM (Flying Blue). This time (Spirit crossing) we'll continue to St. Thomas, fly American Airlines to JFK and then KLM to Amsterdam (same day).

Will you be doing one of the crossings too or do you need a return ticket?

I saw your name once and I already thought you might be Dutch!

We live in Hoorn and what about you?

Have a nice evening!

Hi Marja,

Thank you for your answer. I was thinking about Martinair too although its

a pitty they don't have the Star Class anymore, the best now is Comfort Class:eek:. We need a one way ticket after the maiden TA SS.Spirit and a visit to Atlanta. Only the price of KLM oneway is crazy (15000 US) in business class. For less we fly Singapore airlines return to Sydney!! And KLM doesnot have a direct flight to Amsterdam which i prefer because my partner is in a wheelchair. The direct Martinair flight is 9,5 hours so i guess

we will survive in comfort class or have to:(. I live in Alphen aan den Rijn.

Thanks again and maybe some day you will see us onboard a Seabourn

ship. Have a nice evening yourself.

Regards,

Maria

Too bad you won't be on our "Spirit" (read Seabourn Spirit) crossing!

Still can't figure out why Silver had to pick the name "Spirit" for their new ship!

Suppose Seabourn would name their third new ship "Seabourn Whisper"!

I can't imagine that!

Sorry for being "off topic", but not really!

I understand where you're coming from. We would be in trouble too, if we didn't have the rewards! Nowadays you seem to be able to secure your seats with Martinair, but still..... I've seen these "Comfort class" seats.... the comfort is a few centimeters!

However, your cruise will make up for the inconvenience, I'm sure Maria!

We've sailed Silver too!

My best friend lives in Alphen aan de Rijn!

Good luck with your flight arrangements!

Marja
