3 Ships in Grand Turk!?!

There will be 3 ships in Grand Turk on the day I am there. Having been to GT back in 2007 I fear that many people will over-run the island.

 

Has anyone else been there on a day with 3 ships?

How many passengers are we talking about?

It's the Carnival Dream, the Emerald Princess, and HAL's Noordam.

 

Probably around 7500-8000 pax.

I think that is about double the population of the entire island itself so that sounds a bit tight if all three ships will be in port at the same time.

 

We will be there Christmas day. There will be three ships in Grand Turk but they are staggered with the Oceania Regatta arriving first followed two hours later by the Carnival glory. The Emerald Princess arrives as the Regatta departs.

All the Ships are large and do carry many more passengers. The Noordam is the smallest of the three ships. The Dream is not final in the build yet and shall be the newest as well largest one.

 

I would believe it best you reserve a golf cart for your adventure there prior to arrival.

The dock there only handles 2 ships so I would think that one will have left or will come after you guys are there. Even with 2 ships I would imagine it'll be very crowded.

Two ships pierside, and one tendering could also be the case. In any event, that is A LOT of people for G.T. We were there on the Crown Princess, and it was busy, and that is only about 3100 pax. :o

I never like to be a downer, but Grand Turk can only handle 1 average size ship. More than 3000 and things get pretty hectic. My advice would be to get off early and get a chair at the beach and Margaritaville.

AAAAmerican- How do you go about reserving a golf cart? Do you have to book thru the ship or is it a private company? How many passengers per golf cart?
