rpmljm Posted July 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2009 Hi 2 quick questions...I was wondering, do all cabins have a safe? (We'll be on Victory). Can we get cash at the casino (or anywhere else) if we run out during the cruise? Thanks all! Laurie
falkcor Posted July 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2009 cabins do have a safe, yes. there is a way to get cash effectively advanced in the casino via your sign & sail account... i haven't done that so don't know all the exact details, or you can use the ATM on the ship... dmdiver Posted July 21, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 21, 2009 Yes on the safes. Cash - I think there is an ATM with fees. Onboard expenditures like drinks, spa, excursions (through the ship) & shopping are all cashless - charged to your sail & sign card. There should be details on the cash issue on Carnival's website. We've never run out of cash before.
jetskier Posted July 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2009 You can get a cash advance against your sail and sign card in the casino but there is a 3% fee. If you use the onboard ATM, it is even higher. The trick around the 3% fee is to put your S&S card in a slot machine. Transfer $100 (or other amounts) to it from your S&S account. Cash out or transfer the funds to your online bank. Then go to the Cashier's Cage and cashout your S&S card. They will give you the $100. Dave Yes, this is the way to get cash from your credit card without having any fees applied. Sounds a bit complicated in writting but it really isn't once you attempt to do it. You're just down loading money against your credit card into the slot machine and the slot machine onto your sail and sign card and at the cashier in the casino from your sail and sign card into cash into your hands. Just ask a casino host to help you and they will be happy to help as they're hoping that while some of that money is sitting in the slot machine you'll decide to gamble a bit of it:D But remember, you don't have to gamble any unless you want to!:) If you bypass the slot machine entirely and just go to the cashier in the casino you will incur a fee for doing this. Enjoy!!:)
