Travel Insurance

Recommended Posts

How much do you travel and/or cruise? We found that the price of an annual policy (from Access America) was much less than twice the price of a policy for a single cruise. If you plan on cruising only twice a year this works out better. If you have other travel, it covers that also.

We have 4 cruises booked for the next 1 1/2 year. Do you buy your insurance online? Thanks. :)

Good CC.Com article on this:

Great comparison site that every1 uses:

Good discussion:

Nice explanation (CCL related but still highlights differences in TI):

What I chose & why:

CSA Luxe because of higher coverages amounts & clearly issued car insurance even though it is secondary medical coverage.

Hi-

I looked at that plan on their site and it appears to have good medical/baggage coverage, but the trip cancellation/interruption is only $1000pp max. That doesn't seem adequate for most trips. Are you supposed to purchase it in conjunction with another trip insurance plan that does not have medical? The low cancellation coverage makes sense for the insurer since they don't know where you're going for an annual plan. Thanks for any insight.

We purchased CSA Travel protection. We had to cancell a cruise in April due to health issues. We had RCCL ins. and we just received our refund last week. They made us and the doctors go through hoops. I would never use them again. Also CSA allows for a pre-existing condition.

We usually purchase travel insurance through RCCL..However..we are thinking about purchasing through another company.

What company do you use? Website? Thanks. :)
