Duplicate email notifications for new posts.

Hey.... am I the only one who seems to go though phases of receiving multiple email notifications of new posts on Cruise Critic? In the last couple of days there have been times when I go to my inbox and find 2, 3, 4 (or more) notifications - sent at the same time- for one post on a thread? I have noticed this periodic occurrence many times over months/years.

 

 

I have not seen this topic previously - though I could have easily missed it.

I always get two copies of the newsletter/specials they send out every few days. I took off the email notifications of posts.....just WAY too many emails from crazies updates!!!

I get two emails for every post I make too. I thought it was just me!

Yesterday I got double notifications for every new post I personally did, but also was getting up to seven notifications for responses I posted to posts others did! (Confused yet?!) It doesn't seem to be happening today.

I didn't even know anyone was notified of new posts. I'm not and I am grateful.

You're not alone but never posted about it since i had no idea if it was a cruisecritic thing or my server.

 

Sometimes I am away from my computer for aout an hour and come back to about 17 emails.

 

Believe me I'm not that popular and it's way out of the ordinary. I check my emails and sometimes I'll have up to 5 of the same notifications for the same post saying exactly what the previous 4 said.

Never seen the topic, but I get multiple email alerts frequently, and this has been going on for a couple of years.

Me too....Maybe they will see this and be able to fix it...Darn, now I will probably get half a dozen posts on this:rolleyes:
