Let me start by saying that we did have a great cruise. However, the ship in certain areas was VERY VERY warm. The casino felt like they had the heat on full blast!

We had a wonderful room stewart BUT he never put pool towels in our cabin either. My daughters cabin was next door and one day she came to my room for bath towels as he forgot to give them clean ones. We called and he did come right away.

The buffet we were not crazy about but enjoyed all the dining room food and specialty restaurants.

What really struck me as weird is there were hardly any drink servers by the pool areas. My dh always had to go to the bar and get us drinks. Really not a big deal but compared to all the ships we have been on we NEVER experienced this.

Again, all and all we had a wonderful time. :D

We always bring a fan when ever we travel. It is just a habit now. Hubby and I use a fan 365 days a year. I guess it's our old age. We can't sleep unless cold air is blowing at our faces. :D

What type of fan do you bring on the cruise -- electric or battery operated? How do you pack it -- carry on or large suitcase?

This info will be quite helpful for me!

I can tell you that, unless something changed this week, Tim Donovan is the CD -- he's been on her all summer; other reviews have mentioned him, and I tend to remember when I see his name as I really disliked him when he was CD on one of my past cruises -- I thought he was a dreadful man, so full of himself, and very unfriendly. Your mileage may vary. . . .

I agree...he was never around. On every other cruise that I have taken the cruise director was very visable. Not TD. Worst that I have experienced.

I have an expandable bag with wheels on the bottom I usually put the fans(yes 2) in there along with my shoes and possibly put a light blanket or beach towels to cushion the fans and put it with checked luggage

Thanks for this info. :D I will have about 3 checked suitcases when I pack the fan! But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

We were on the CB 3 yrs ago, Our room was very warm. Had someone look @ it 3-4 times. Still to hot. We are thinking of booking on the Crown this fall, but I know I do not want a room that's too warm

On our voyage on the Caribbean Princess on 6/29, our cabin on the Lido deck was quite comfortable... We had the thermostat turned down low the entire time though...

I will tell you that when I sailed on the Crown, one of the other members of our roll call complained throughout the cruise about the heat in his cabin -- he was on Emerald Deck but I don't know what cabin #, I just know it was an obstructed OCV. Other roll call members had a balcony on Caribe and had no problems. I can personally attest to you that A738 (Aloha Deck balcony) was quite comfortable, with A/C that worked perfectly. You do have to keep the drapes closed if the sun is on that side, as it can warm up the cabin pretty quickly, but otherwise, I had no complaints and I'm definitely averse to warm indoor rooms. Anyway, hope this helps you a little!

That brownie incident was very upsetting and difficult to watch. They weren't young children either.

It was very upsetting! Interesting thing though: I had no idea it had even happened until I saw it on a CC link to youtube! Everything was cleaned up in the morning and no one was talking about it.
