scp1 Posted July 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2009 Has anyone ever purchased and used one of those hair dryer converters that will let you use the hair dryer at it's 1875 watts. It looks like Princes runs opn half the current of home.(usa) so just wondering if it is woth the money. I know the dryer in the room will never be strong enough. Thanks for any info.. Princess have 110V / 15A NEMA 5-15 (north american style outlets) in the [main portion of the] room. 110*15 = 1650 watts maximum, or the North American standard for household power. Anything you use the USA in a normal socket will work on board. However, other than having to hold down the trigger, I've found the onboard hairdryer works just fine. luvcdays Posted July 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2009 I also use my 1875 hair dryer with no problem. The ones supplied by the cruise lines would take all day to dry my long thick hair.
