Private tours for a large Group (40 people)?

A group of families (about 40 people) will be taking a Barcelona round-trip on NCL at the end of August (major cities - Rome, Florence, Naples). I read, there are many private tours, but mostly for 6-8 people per van.

 

Does any body have any experience of organizing for such a large group? Can you recommend some names who will be able to handle a group of this size?

You might want to consider breaking-up your group in some (if not all) of the places. Finding 40 people that all want to do the same things is not always an easy task. Rome and Florence are best explored on foot, and trying to keep 40 together in crowded areas like around the Spanish Steps (Rome) is a challenge. Also keep in mind that a lot of fun can be had just having lunch at a well-located outdoor cafe in any of those cities. Showing up at a cafe with a group of 40, is not usually a good idea, and most places that handle large groups are very touristy and do not offer the most romantic atmosphere.
