Ray66 Posted August 1, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 1, 2009 does anybody know where QM2 will berth when visiting liverpool.i was wondering if it would be in front of the three graces, also we wish to go to the maritime and slave museum and i was just wondering weather permitting if one can walk all the way along river walk to Albert dock.your help on this matter will be appreciated thank you I went to see the QE2 at the new terminal last year. Almost in front of the Three Graces. This article from last year says: When QM2 berths alongside the new Cruise Liner Terminal next year, the world-famous vessel will provide a spectacular focal point on the city’s revamped waterfront http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0100regionalnews/tm_headline=world-8217-s-biggest-ocean-liner-to-visit-liverpool&method=full&objectid=20750787&siteid=50061-name_page.html also http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2008/04/11/queen-mary-2-world-s-biggest-cruise-liner-to-visit-liverpool-100252-20752597/ Cruise terminal calendar: http://www.liverpool.gov.uk/Leisure_and_culture/Tourism_and_travel/cruise_liverpool/index/index.asp Yes you can walk to the Albert Dock. sw18 Posted August 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2009 QM2 is due to dock at the new terminal, so the Albert Dock is just over 10 minute walk away. You will also be close to the new Liverpool One shopping area, the rest of the city centre and also a very short walk to Moorfields and James Street stations (good for the Gormley statues at Blundellsands/Crosby & the Wirral). juliecat Posted August 1, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2009 We walked from the QE2 docked at the new terminal to the Maritime Museum. Spent a lot longer in the museum than I expected to - great exhibits! You might also enjoy the Tate Museum, which is in the same complex.
