Ports of call in Canada

Am doing a cruise on The Balmoral (Fred Olsen) mid October. We will visiting the following ports in Canada, Montreal (1/2 day(, Baie Commeau (1/2 day), Saint John New Brunswick (full day) and Digby Nova Scotia. Does anybody have any ideas of the must sees and do's at any of these ports. Thanks

Montreal for half a day will really only give you time to walk around the in the historical section. Make sure you walk as far as the Cathedral of Notre Dame and you might want to try a caleche (horse and buggy) ride around.

In Saint John, the main attractions are:

- walking the ocean floor (Bay of Fundy has the higest tides in the world) at St. Martin's (Excursion)

- Reversing Falls

- Old Saint John City Market

- Loyalist Burial Ground

- Barbour's General Store

digby and area are famous for whale watching in the summer. go to tripadvisor.com and do a search for "whale watching Briar Island Digby". When are you coming?

And scallops. Ten years later, my kids still talk about eating scallops and watching the tide roll in from the restaurant deck.
