salseros2003 Posted August 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2009 One quick question: do you know if London Tube ticket machine and/or ticket office accept credit cards? We'll be in London just to move to Harwich and we'd prefer avoiding changing money just for a tube trip from Heathrow to the city centre. Globaliser Posted August 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Most Tube stations have at least one ticket machine that takes credit cards, and the ticket offices will certainly do so.

CLARE7678 Posted August 4, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2009 yeah they do, we went to london the other weekend and you can either pay cash at the ticket office or cash/cards at the machine. The tube imo is ace, so efficient and cheap!
skisteamboat Posted August 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2009 I actually prefer the Bus over the tube as one can see more. Still it is faster (when there is no problems). Cheers
rsquare Posted August 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2009 London Underground ticket machines expect chip-and-PIN cards, and do not accept American credit cards which typically do not use this sytem. There is always a human or two at a ticket window who will take an American credit card, but the downside is having to queue up.
