Currency on Baltic Capitals

Hi,

 

I've heard that it is possible to get away with taking only £ and Euros for on shore excursions. Can anyone out there give me some advice on this?

We found that most of the large shops accept Euros in all the places we stopped last year. Smaller shops and buses/taxis seemed to prefer local currency where it was different and you can always change some sterling for this at reception. It's certainly not woth the bother of exchanging before you go.
