TomCruises Posted August 7, 2009 #26 Share Posted August 7, 2009 I know this is an ultra-specific question, but I am a certifiable iced tea addict. I'm sailing on Century in December...from reading these boards, it sounds like iced tea is complimentary, and there is a place on the ship where you can self-serve at all times. My big question...is it fresh brewed??? I'm not a fan of the Nestea-type drink made from a concentrate, but I fear that this might be what it provided on board. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Oh, and please assure me that it is NOT pre-sweetened!! Sounds like you better pack the ole Iced Tea Maker and "BREW" in your cabin so you'll be happy with your own tea!:D
Glendakayself Posted August 7, 2009 #27 Share Posted August 7, 2009 The iced tea on our 2007 Millenium cruise in the MDR was so dark and thick that everyone thought it was cola. My husband ordered a glass of iced tea and a glass of water. He drank half the glass of water and then poured the tea into the water and mixed it. garardo Posted August 7, 2009 #28 Share Posted August 7, 2009 I agree with all of you purists, but it has always amazed me that even at the special tea on each sailing, Celebrity uses the box of bags, instead of brewing loose tea in pots. I asked about it once and was told that guests like different flavors, but it seems that they could do pots of a few different types for that event. It is nice to know there are so many tea drinkers out there. There is a tea company out there called mighty leaf that indeed does have whole leaf tea of different flavors in a tea bag format. They are very good. garardo
