tam063 Posted August 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2009 What is the fastest way to get from the Dockyard to Warwick Long Bay? We will be in Bermuda in a couple weeks for our first time:D
SailBadtheSinner Posted August 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2009 The fastest way from the Dockyard to Warwick Long Bay would be by taxi. The taxi will be on the same road(s) the buses travel but they won’t be making stops along the way and you don’t have to wait for the taxi. Assumption here is that there will be a taxi waiting for hire when you are ready to go.
Host Kewlguy Posted August 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2009 The fastest and cheapest way to get from the Dockyards to Warwick Long Bay is the #7 bus. Warwick Long Bay will be a short distance past the Horseshoe Bay stop. There will be a path leading down to the beach at the Warwick Long Bay stop. Restrooms are also available near the beach. No much else though. We never use the taxi's in Bermuda as they are extremely expensive. The buses are convenient, frequent and easy to use. SailBadtheSinner Posted August 7, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2009 Tam063 asked:….. could anyone give me a ball park number for a taxi from the Dockyard to Warwick Long Bay?... Answer: Taxi rates: 1-4 persons: $4.80 for the first mile, $1.68 for each subsequent mile, plus luggage fee. 5-6 persons: $6.00 for the first mile, $2.10 for each subsequent mile, plus luggage fee. Distance guesstimate from Dockyard to Warwick Long Bay: 17 miles Cost (one way): 1-4 persons: first mile: $4.80 + subsequent miles: (17-1) X 1.68 = $26.68; total $31.68 with no luggage. 5-6 persons: first mile: $6.00 + subsequent miles: (17-1) X 2.10 = $33.60; total $39.00 with no luggage. Vs. One day unlimited bus pass: $12.00 per person
