Escargot?

just curious.... I love escargot... the last few cruises we have been on did not have it.... Does any have it any more?

What cruise line(s) were you on? Princess was still serving escargot as of my last cruise in May.

I had it on RCL 2 years ago. I didnt think it tasted bad, its just the thought of eating snails that was not quite appealing.

I've read a ton of posts on the NCL board regarding Escargot, though I don't think NCL is especially known for their food.

RCCL's Serenade had it in March. The recipe is available in Volume 2 of their cookbook. I have not tried making it at home, but LOVE to get it on the ship.

It was an off-menu request item on my Celebrity Solstice cruise Dec '08. Half of the table made a standing order for it on the first night, but it took a couple nights to jump-start it. The assistant matre d' came around every night to make sure it arrived, my tablemates were very happy.

Princess has the BEST escargot! It is no longer listed on the menu but is usually a special one night of the cruise and you can request it more often if you like.

ncl has escargot. I ordered it in the french restaurant and I heard they had it in the mdr on a day I didn't eat there as well.

X has added escargot to the every night selections sith the new menus that they are rolling out now. If yoy want escargot you can just tell your Head Waiter and you will get them whichever nights you wish.

I had escargot on Carnival Legend a week ago! It was wonderful.
