Sand fleas on Bannister Island?

:eek:I read a thread last week , the person was reviewing their cruise, and said the sand fleas were terrible on Bannister Island. Every reviewer I have read previously to that one loved Bannister Island. Are sand fleas sasonal, or did they just love that family?

We were there 8/13 and had no problem. There were 8 of us and none of us used bug spray. No bites. Have fun!

We've been to Bannister Island twice ... but both times were in January ... and absolutely no problems with sand fleas.

 

Have no clue about other times of the year ... but hope this helps a bit! :)

Was there a week ago. Didn't see any and didn't hear anything mentioned. We didn't see anyone using bug spray either.
