Beaches with snorkeling

If you want an area that has great snorkeling (meaning lots of things to see), I would recommend Folkstone Park. http://www.barbados.org/folkstone.htm

There isn't much beach (as best as I can remember it), but the snorkeling is really good. There is also a playpark (swings slides etc) in the same area. so depending on the age of your family, this might be a fun place to go.

If you have your own snorkeling equipment, I would recommend some nice beaches like Paynes Bay on the west coast, which is a nice stretch of beach but depending on what you want to see there might not be much great snorkeling.

Accra Beach is also a really good beach with a small reef just off shore. (this is the beach we go to every weekend, so I'm partial to this one). There are beach vendors as well as food huts and a beach facility building with showers and bathrooms, as well as a playpark.

Hope this helps. and Enjoy..
