Can we bring on water/gatorade?

I just read that we can bring on 2 bottles of wine? What is the corking fee? Can we bring on water/gatorade without incident? We're sailing on Summit.

not positive on the corkage fee... think it's $15. If you just drink the wine in your cabin, balcony there's no fee. Yes you can bring water & gatorade, I've seen people with 3 cases of water stacked up and tagged like luggage. (also sodas)

 

On a side note, hope this doesn't turn into one of those "why do you need bottled water" threads. Some people like the way it tastes. I'm one of them.

 

...just checked the X website...corkage fee up to $25. better make that the biggest bottle you can buy!

I wouldn't bother bringing bottled water with you. You can always buy it at your first port and bring it on board.

To get the wine on the ship, do you carry it through and right on the ship or does it need to be packed somehow? I have seen a table right after security where they have asked people to turn in their liquor to be retrieved at the end of the cruise. Is that only once you start stopping in other ports?

I just went to X's FAQ page and it is highlighted and bold that you can bring on 2 bottles. They don't impose a maximum size bottle either. So, it appears it is perfectly fine to carry it on, not pack it away. I should have asked if there is an unscrewing fee and I wonder if 2 boxes of wine are allowable? Then would there be a perferation fee? :D
