Calypso, first time cruisers.

We are booked to go on our very first cruise and if anyone has any tips about cruising in general (although we feel have read most of the information on this wonderful web site) we would be grateful.

 

The cruise is on the Thomson Calypso, doing the Aegean Wonders sailing out of Thessalonica next on Monday 31 August. So again if anyone has any recommendations about trips ashore etc then we would appreciate it.

We did this itinerary last year on Calypso and loved it ....the weather was absolutely gorgeous and we loved the ship which is small and a bit elderly but we liked the intimate atmosphere....the entertainment was fantastic and all the staff very friendly.

 

I'm not sure what your itinerary is but most of the places we went you could easily go ashore and do your own thing...If you go to Kusadasi you might like to do a trip to Ephesus..although we haven't been it had good comments from our fellow cruisers. We love all the Greek Islands and it is a good choice for a first cruise!

Does anyone know if shampoo and soap are provided on board ? I know they are in hotels, but not sure about cruises.
