gemchic Posted August 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2009 We're looking for a nice clean beach to go to on our own and read somewhere that Reggae Beach was very quiet and beautiful. We're going with our two kids so also want somewhere safe where there won't be too many people bothering us to buy something. Anyone been there or have other suggestions? reno3 Posted August 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2009 I have not been...yet. I will we going in April with Marva Shaw tours. If you do a search here you should be able to find some information. I know there was a posting or two within the last couple of weeks. Good Luck:D

banannarama Posted August 27, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2009 We took a taxi and went there on our own.... what a beautiful place!! We went with our 3 kids and had the best time. It cost $9 to go inside- much cheaper than tours that were being offered on our ship (Navigator of the Seas). There was nice music playing, it was clean- including the bathrooms!- there was a nice bar there and a small restaraunt, both very reasonable priced, and nobody hassled us at all.... only the hostess came by every so often to see if we needed any drinks or food. pjpurple6 Posted August 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2009 I was just there last week, it is small and Pretty, we didn't care for the music, the group I was with had something to eat, reasonable prices, I took pictures, didn't go in the water as it started raining. shipmade Posted September 8, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Does anyone know if there is snorkeling there? Just read that bamboo beach club operates there now so were thinking about booking it thru the ship, but really want to snorkel as well.
seven11 Posted September 9, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 9, 2009 We'll be there in December again over the Christmas holidays. We've pretty much done everything on the island and this sounds perfect. Wondering how much it costs to get there. Also, what is included in the $9 price? banannarama Posted September 11, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2009 We were there last month. There were some people snorkeling... not sure if they brought their own equipment or rented it on the beach though. The $9 included a chair and a drink.
