Mi Fi or Wi Fi

Does anyone have experience using the new Mi Fi product/service from Verizon while on board?

 

Are the data charges the same as they would be for using a blackberry or standard wi fi card while on board?

No idea, but since it is a Verizon product, I assume it works only on their network. And, since NONE of the carriers have their own towers onboard, I doubt it will work.

just a guess but I would imagine that you would be paying the cellular rate for the connection from the MiFi device and then could use it... but that would be very expensive...

 

you would probably be better off just using the ships WiFi

 

like I said this is all just guess work

Your best bet for this would be to contact Verizon directly and be very specific what you ask them.
