I'd love to do a B2B some time. I was not ready to leave.

Thanks for review, we are goig on same cruise 11/01/09, helpful info.

Glad you liked it. My only other advice... dance like there's no tomorrow.

I dance really badly, but after having almost lost one of my legs and life earlier this year, I was a dancing fool on my June cruise and this one too. I'm so blessed to still be here, with both legs attached.

So, we danced. We danced the dance lessons. We danced in front of the casino bar where the wonderful live music was playing. We danced on the lido deck. We danced in the night clubs. And, we danced in private.

Count your blessings folks. I'm damn glad to be here. Bad dancing and all. ;)

Sweet review Scott F!!

Great job...you took me right back to our anniversary cruise last Dec :D

Ahhh Margaritaville... let's not tell the kids we did the balloon contest :o

No worries. At the Fat Tuesdays in Cozumel, they were drinking shots from a blow up pigs ass. Not me though. Too much swine flu going 'round.

I'm hoping my DH takes your advice next year on our 5th cruise. He will NEVER dance w/ me. He claims he doesn't know how and will be embarassed. Have you seen how some people dance:eek: Please, how can you get embarassed when you are just having fun? Well, he has PROMISED to dance w/ me next year. If a man goes missing on the Valor next April you will know he didn't keep his promise;)

Loved your review and you guys are a great couple. Love your attitude and glad you had a great time. Maybe you should book the Valor w/ us next year.

Loved the "day in the life" review. I also appreciated how you didn't bum out on the minor negatives.

Life is too short to get bogged down on negatives. They were minor in the grand scheme of things.

Being part of cruise critic taught me how to deal with some of this stuff, honestly... the horrible waiter. This has been discussed before. People posted they made a change. I might not have ever done that had I not known others had easily done it in the past.

Our inside cabin was too small, but I knew it would be going into this trip. I opted for the best cabin location regardless of category/class. We got just what we paid for. And, we got to sleep late. Great trade off.

They ruined wife's suitcase. Not even my ducktape would get the wheel assembly (basically the entire bottom of the suitcase) to stay on. I travel extensively. Even my "good" luggage gets dinged from airlines all the time. This was just one helluva ding and I blame partly on how much crap wife had stuffed into that giant suitcase. They claim they'll reimburse and I'll hold them to their word.

Other folks would have complained about the crazies at the adult pool last day... not me, I love crazies. I am one.

Other folks would have complained about the 7am to 3pm tender in Grand Cayman (and many on our ship were doing just that). But, it's a published time before you buy your cruise. I simply glossed over it as I was planning the beach day at Royal Palms. My bad and we simply called an audible and changed the plans to suit us better. No biggie.

We had a huge discussion on smokers before I left. Everywhere I saw smokers, they were exactly where they were supposed to be. God bless 'em. As I stood up on deck 10 forward 'hidden' deck, there were tons of smokers below me. But, they were allowed to smoke on their balconies. So be it. This will not stop me from booking balcony next time. If someone next to me is smoking excessively, someone here suggested that I politied asked for a little break in smoke and they will probably comply.

I didn't complain about kids running up and down the hallway, bagning doors, screaming on the afternoon nap time we were pulling after leaving cayman at 3pm. Kids do that sort of stuff, especially excited ones. I was glad they had it out of their systems by midnight.

People next door to us were arguing pretty heatedly about losing a bag in Mexico. I just felt sorry for the both of them that on their next to last day of cruising, they were spending so much negative energy. I'm sure it seemed like the end of the world to them, but life is short.

you're on a boat with 3000 people. Stuff is going to happen. Know that going in and hopefully it won't affect you to the point where it ruins your relaxation.

But, I'm 48 and have been through a lot these past year or so. That near death thing does wonders.

We sat in the night club one night resting between my two left foot sessions and there were six younger folks sitting on the booth chairs in front of us. One couple, neither were going to dance. The middle couple was dancing a lot off and on and then the last couple, the girl was basically dancing next to her stool next to b/f. He wouldn't budge. She tried to get him to go on the floor. I mean all he has to do is humor her a few dances and I bet he's going to get the lovin' of his life later. She was all over him to go in that direction.

But no, he refuses. At one point they got up and my wife said, he finally gets it. But, they stood there, had a few words and she led the way out. This guy just killed off the chance to have a wonderful night with a very attractive girl/friend or wife. What an idiot.

I was out there setting the bar quite low for him.

Tell your husband that you're going to dance either with him or without him. There's always several ladies out there dancing as part of the big group. They just want to dance. After a while, your husband won't like you out there dancing around other guys and he'll show up quickly.

I had strange women sort of humping me from behind and my wife thought it was hilarious. Of course, I'm into all the bumping and grinding they do out there these days. All us husbands have to do is sort of stand semi- still and let wife rub her backside all over us. I love this type of dancing, I aint' going to lie to ya. :D

Tell hubby to PM me and I'll fill him in on all the raunchy details. With the way thse kids dance these days, no little blue pills are necessary. I'll try and leave it like that. I had the time of my life these past two cruises. Sadly, we embarrased our 19-24 year old kids on June's cruise, but we told them if they can dance like that so can mom and dad. They never left the club so I guess it wasn't too bad for htem. Or it could have been they were drinking off my sign and sail card. :)

Scott,

You have such a great attitude!!! Hopefully others (including myself) will take things you say to heart.

The photo of Eden Rock looks like a live shot! Thanks so much. DD wanted to snorkel there last time but we found out Jimmy Buffett was going to be at M'ville that day & pretty much spent the entire day there. Truely consider that day a once in a lifetime happening.

Thanks again for the awesome pictures & review!

Happy Cruising!

This is my first venture on the boards but I have been reading for sometime.Just had to let you know how refreshing your review was.
Some (just some) evenings reading can be very depressing with lots of folks being not so kind in their exchanges. But you have made my reading today end on a happy note.
Our extended family of 16 is booked on the Conquest 6/20/2010
Your pics are great. Thanks.
