NorthTexasCruisers Posted August 31, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2009 We are taking an Alaskan cruise in May. Leaving and returning to Seattle. How much time is spent in international waters? (How much time will the casino be open?) I appreciate any info. Carrie

My memory is the casino was open within an hour of sail away. It was open a lot while not in port and usually within 30 minutes to an hour of leaving port. I believe the cruiselines have some agreement with Alaska on running casino's in their waters and they pay a hefty tax for the ability to do so. Float&Bloat Posted September 1, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2009 As the previous responder stated the casonios open quickly except they are closed in Glacer Bay because it is a national park.
