Checked wth my friend. She tried online and with a TA. Online said cabins will be allocated and would be issued just prior to sailing. Then she checked with a friend TA who said that is how Princess does bookings. So she selected Royal Caribbean as she could pick her cabin.

no, not a guarantee cabin, she just couldn't book any cabin of her choice,

it was to celebrate a special birthday so don't think price was an issue.

My friend wanted to do a cruise on Princess to Fiji but couldn't choose her own cabin. Is this usual? She is now doing cruise from Sydney to Noumea and Vanuatu on Royal Caribbean.

A representative from the Travel Club meets their cruisers before and after every cruise to make sure everything goes smoothly. When the Princess Majestic was late coming into port, he had to rework all the arrangements - change buses, change the guides, store the luggage etc. The 740 passengers in Sydney were fortunate to be well looked after during the delay.

I love most pasties. However, my daughter brought me a crimped edge Cornish pastie yesterday, which had swede in it. Yum the best, like Cornwall. She also brought a handmade musk lolly Easter Egg. Both are not easy to find.
