argenta01 Posted June 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Help! Has anyone been in these cabins recently to verify the extended balcony? I was just in D733 on the Emerald and yes it has an extended balcony. I loved the cabin.
hawkeyecruiser2 Posted June 27, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Thanks! I'd still love to hear from someone on the CP though!!
bagney Posted June 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2011 We had E731 on the Caribbean Princess last September and yes, the balcony was extended about an additional 3 feet or more towards the aft of the ship.
Pam in CA Posted June 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) Thanks! I'd still love to hear from someone on the CP though!!FYI, the "CP" is the Sea Princess, which is a completely different design of ship; the Caribbean Princess is "CB." These are the Princess abbreviations for these ships. :) It doesn't matter whether someone's been on the Caribbean Princess, Sapphire Princess, Crown Princess, etc. as the Dolphin and Emerald deck designs are essentially the same. Here are photos from the Sapphire Princess which shows the extended balconies: Edited June 27, 2011 by Pam in CA
bswakema Posted June 27, 2011 #6 Share Posted June 27, 2011 We had cabin E730 on the Caribbean Princess in April. As you can see from the pictures, the balcony is extended. We loved the cabin. Here are some pictures of the balcony.

hawkeyecruiser2 Posted June 27, 2011 Author #8 Share Posted June 27, 2011 Thanks for all the help and photos! Are the dolphin balconies a little bigger than e deck, then?

Here are some pictures of the balcony. Sorry to hijack: We've stayed in E730 on the Crown Princess, and had absolutely no problem with noise from the lounge below. How did you find the noise level from Club Fusion on your cruise?
Whimsy Posted July 18, 2011 #10 Share Posted July 18, 2011 We have stayed in E731 twice on CB. We have been in E730 on Emerald and have E731 on the Crown. Those cabins have the extended covered balcony. The ones on Dolphin would not be covered. Noise was not an issue on the Starboard side. On the Port side there was some vibration from the Bass but wouldn't stop us from booking that cabin if E731 was not available.
bswakema Posted July 18, 2011 #11 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Sorry to hijack: We've stayed in E730 on the Crown Princess, and had absolutely no problem with noise from the lounge below. How did you find the noise level from Club Fusion on your cruise? We were afraid of the possibility of the noise from Club Fusion keeping us up at night, so we came prepared with earplugs just in case. We did get some bass vibration a couple of nights, but it was not enough to keep us awake or even wear the earplugs which we had brought. Would we book this cabin again? Absolutely! In fact, we have a booking on the CB again for the same cabin.

RealDeal Posted July 18, 2011 #14 Share Posted July 18, 2011 If I'm not mistaken, I believe D732 & D733 are slightly different from other minis...I'm pretty sure they don't have a tub, only a shower & I believe they have twin beds that can't convert to queen. Dolphin minis are uncovered; Emerald minis are covered.
bogeydi Posted July 19, 2011 #15 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Do they have 2 TVs like the other mini suites?

sfoquilter Posted July 25, 2011 #17 Share Posted July 25, 2011 What is this about D733 on the Emerald? The twin beds can't convert?? I just booked this cabin for 9/29 and will not be happy about this situation.

D732 & D733 (D736 & D737 on the Sapphire & Diamond) were designed as accessible rooms but the doors were too narrow. Princess finally corrected the design with the Crown and her sisters the Emerald and the Ruby. D703 & D707 are true accessible cabins on those ships. BlueCat1105 Posted October 5, 2011 #20 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Well, looking on the Princess website, it appears that there is only a shower, but some say the bathroom is quite large, so it may work out OK in that respect, but does anyone know if it's so that the room can't easily be configured for a queen bed? That could be a deal breaker! :p
Bigboy99 Posted October 30, 2011 #21 Share Posted October 30, 2011 Hi all, we where in feb/2011 in D732 on the CB and we where very satisfied with this cabin. You ""CAN"" convert the two single beds to a king size bed, but then you have to walk around the bed when entering the cabin. here a few pics Regards Bernie

You ""CAN"" convert the two single beds to a king size bed, but then you have to walk around the bed when entering the cabin. Can the sofa in D732 convert into a bed to accommodate a third person? I can see that, rather than having a three-seat sofa, D732 has a loveseat and a one-seat chair next to it, so sleeping could be difficult.
