Checking in in Barcelona

Does anyone know if it is possible to get back off the ship after you've checked in in Barcelona? We don't sail until 6 pm but have to be out of our hotel by noon. We'd like to check in, have lunch, and then explore the port area for a couple of hours. I know that you can do it in some ports but not others.

I hope we are boarding at the World Trade Center - that certainly would be convenient. I hope Silversea or Regent aren't docked the same day - they might get our spot.
