There has been no news about the Shadow since the engine failure in mid February which caused the cancellation of one of the Chinese charter cruises. According to the daily Chronicle it was sailing again by early March.

I asked Captain DeStephano on the Whisper what had happened and he denied all knowledge. Ha!

I thought the Shadow was supposed to be in drydock in January for a "much needed update." No reports?

Shadow did have her refurbishment in January as scheduled. The unfortunate incident with the engine happened soon after she left dry dock. All the cruises she is doing now until May are charters through a large Chinese financial institution to my knowledge. It is highly unlikely we will get any reports on her until after she starts sailing her regular cruises in May.

I am also interested in how she looks and is sailing, as I have a cruise booked on her in January, 2018. So hopefully we will get some reports by the middle of this year.

I just saw your post in the Roll Calls so you may be one of the first to give a report on how Shadow looks post the dry dock and the Charters.:)

Yes, that is exactly why I was wondering how she is looking. (I'm cruising from Tokyo to Seward in May.)
