Hi this might seem a stupid question.

We have done various cruise lines but have never done Costa. As they are italian based are they mainly Italian customers and is English widely spoken. We are thinking of trying a Costa Cruise does anyone have any thoughts?

Depending where the cruise is, Italians could well be the largest group from any country but they are not normally the majority of passengers.

English is the language mostly widely spoken by the crew, MDR, bar and cabin stewards all speak English.

Don't worry, be cruising.

Albiet it is 4 years since we were on Costa, all announcements were in 5 different languages - don't know if that is still the same. eg: Bingo was called in 5 different languages, we didn't play, just watched. Interesting......

All notifications were in 5 different languages. Then again, there would be a lot of multi lingual people on board, and of course the different nationalities, so it makes sense.

Yes it is still the case that they have announcements in 5 languages occasionally more. English will always be one of them. They always have a jost for English speaking guests to who speaks English as a first language.
