tbmrt Posted May 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2016 We usually book our own excursions when sailing large cruiselines. Enjoy beautiful beaches and snorkeling. Booked the 12/9/16 Yachtsman cruise and starting to look into things to do, excursions, etc. Not familiar with the port/tender situation for Windsurf. Can we book taxis and snorkel tours at the ports or need to pre-book? Do most people take Windsurf's excursions? Thanks.
dandee2 Posted May 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2016 All stops are tendered. St. Maarten (Dock) St-Barts (Tender) Tortola - if Soper's Hole (Tender) Jost Van Dyke - White Bay (Tender) Virgin Gorda - Prickly Pear Island (Tender) Antigua - Falmouth Harbor (Tender) You'll have a great time. hlalonde Posted May 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2016 Remember, most stops are anchorages, and not usually where you will find other cruise ships. We did this itinerary in 2014, and did not do any ship shore excursions as we were familiar with the BVI's. We did the Jewels of the Windward Islands last year and booked three shore excursions through Windstar - all of them were will run and very good. Enjoy! We are about to book our 3rd Windstar! sb44 Posted May 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2016 (edited) We've done this itinerary a few times. Recommed Kuralu Catamaran on Tortola. Great owner with incredible lunch. We had 6 people from WS and Gary (captain) had a few more. Wonderful day snorkeling. Jost you can just beach it at Gertrudes or Soggy Dollar. Nothing much except gorgeous beach. Prickly Pear is beach party or excursions for diving or The Baths. Lots to chose from on the bigger islands either on your own or excursions. Wonderful laid-back trip. tbmrt Posted May 27, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted May 27, 2016 Thanks for info. Do I need to prebook Kuralu? Worried a bit about booking now and having bad weather that day.
sb44 Posted May 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2016 We prebooked with Gary online. I think we did a deposit through paypal and then cash balance day of trip. I would email him. Very nice guy. Snorkled the Indians. He has all the gear. Yes, bathroom onboard! Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
