Port Canaveral Before and After

We will have 2 full days in Port Canaveral area before our cruise in January, We are 6 adults and will have a rental car. One full day will be at Kennedy Space Center. What are some other things to do or places to see?

Our flight out of Orlando is not until 8PM and are planning a rental car again. Any suggestions with what to do with half a day? either near the port or airport or someplace in between.

Visit Manatee Park first thing in the morning. They entertained us for about an hour right up next to shore. If I remember correctly the road next to the Radison hotel takes you back to the park.

Cocoa Beach Pier and Ron Jon's Surf Shop might be interesting to you.

Brevard Zoo - a nice little zoo, good for half a day or more - a nonprofit organization. Has a zip-line/adventure course adjacent.

On your last day: Disney Springs (there is NOTHING between Cocoa and the airport ... SWAMP)

Be aware that January could be beach weather (for northerners) or could be quite chilly ... ya just never know .... it DOES get cold here. Not freezing but a chilly wet rain is bad enuf ....
